Ross Holcombe

Teaching

Ross Holcombe is in high demand as a private trombone instructor and masterclass artist for students of all levels, from beginners and high school students through the collegiate level. Ross' students have been accepted to top university and conservatory music programs across the country such as the New England Conservatory, the Juilliard School, DePaul University, and Florida State University. In addition, Ross' students have been frequently selected as All-State, All-District, and All-Region band and orchestra participants, and have been accepted to music festivals and summer programs such as the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Brevard, and the Eastern Music Festival.

Ross currently serves on the faculties of Eastern Washington and Gonzaga Universities as adjunct professor of Trombone, and has been featured as a Teaching Artist at the Virginia Arts Festival in addition to his regular appearances as a guest coach for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. He has given masterclasses at universities and high schools throughout the United States, and frequently presents educational and interactive recitals in Boston area schools.
